Persistence is Our Superpower
It’s easy to get discouraged on our journey as an author. While our passion for words and creating something out of nothing runs deep, it is not easy work. Our superpowers are persistence and saying yes to opportunities when they present themselves. That’s what happened three weeks ago.
I was scrolling through my writer Facebook groups and came across an offer for a group promotion. There was a nudge to say yes and there was also a pull wondering how successful it would be. Living in the tension: this is what all great artists must do.
I said yes, even though I doubted. Every successful writer struggles with imposter-syndrome and doubt. This truth equips me to move forward DESPITE doubt. It’s a normal feeling and part of the journey as a writer.
Fast-forward to last week when the promotion went live here. I was amazed to see the sales roll in throughout the week and sold 496 copies of When God Calls A Writeras well as 24 copies of my other books.
And the reason I couldn’t keep this to myself is that courage is contagious. We are better and stronger together! Collaboration beats competition all the time. This is what makes us Unstoppable Writers!
